Smart automatic shrimp feeder

Recently, Chinese shrimp farmers have begun to use small ponds (500-600m2) to raise shrimp. This model allows for better disease control, higher density farming, lower FCR, and more profit when live shrimp prices are very low.

This is a case study of our customers in Maoming, Guangdong. The data obtained by the customer after using our Smart automatic shrimp feeder is for reference. Compared with manual feeding, the growth rate of shrimp is 10 days faster after using the smart feeder

100 shrimp ponds. Each pond is 18*30m in size. Average FCR is 0.95. Cultivation period is 90 days. Harvest size is 40-44 pcs/kg.

This pond uses air blowers and the salinity of the water is 8/1000. So the dissolved oxygen is easier to rise than in high salinity areas.

Please note: Appropriate dissolved oxygen is good for shrimp digestion, reduces FCR and enhances resistance

Today, most of our customers use air feeding to feed shrimp. The feeder is set up on the bank of the pond instead of in the pond, which makes it easier to add feed to the bucket and maintain the machine, greatly reducing the failure rate of the feeder.

Last month we went to Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt. They are listed here according to the concerns of our customers.

1. How much power?

Blower is 1HP, BLDC motor of spreadhead 0.53HP. Total power is 1.53HP.

2. How big is the feed bucket?

The feed bucket we currently provide is 60L, which can hold about 40Kg of shrimp feed. We do not recommend adding too much feed to the feeder at one time. We recommend adding fresh feed to the feed bucket every day to ensure that the nutrition of the feed is not damaged.

3. How big is the feeding range?

The intelligent feeding machine is a BLDC motor spreadhead, and the motor speed can vary from 60-2000. The feeding area is not hollow, but a pancake shape. The feeding diameter is adjustable from 3-24m. The maximum feeding area can be 452m2. It ensures that the shrimp can grab the feed to the maximum extent.

4. So the feeding range can be adjusted according to the breeding density and pond size?

5. Can I feed in a cyclic mode?

Yes! The machine can be set to feed in a cyclic mode. After setting the start time and the stop time, the machine will automatically feed, and you can also feed at night.

6. Can I feed the shrimp by timer?

Yes! The feeder has 10 timers feeding modes. You can set the feeding time and feeding amount for each meal. The feeding amount for each meal can be set to different amounts.

7. Can the feeder feed shrimp accurately?

Yes, the feeder has a weighing system to ensure accurate feeding and no feed wastage.

8. What is the feeding speed of the feeder?

2000g per minute.

9. Is the feeder resistant to corrosion?

The frame of the feeder is made of stainless steel 304 material, and we have made the machine corrosion-resistant, high-temperature-resistant and waterproof.

10. How long is the feeding pipe of the feeder?

The feeding pipe can be up to 32 meters long.

11. Can the feeder stop feeding automatically when there is no feed?

Yes.

12. How to ensure that there is no feed residue in the feeding pipe?

You can set the fan to be turned off for 10-30 seconds after the feeder is finished feeding each time, the fan will continue to work, thus ensuring that there is no feed residue in the feeding pipe.

13. Can the feeder serve 1 spreadhead or 2 spreadheads?

Yes, it can be used in combination according to the breeding density and breeding area.

14. Can you provide a complete central feeding system?

Yes, we can design a central feeding system based on the customer's breeding base, including automatic loading, automatic feeding, and automatic feeding. No need to manually carry feed.

15. If my shrimp pond has 10 hectares, how to arrange the feeders?

You can arrange the feeders in the east-west or north-south direction of the pond, placing 4 feeders in each row, and each feeder can serve two spreadheads, ensuring a larger feeding area.
